Safeguarding

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We believe everyone has the right to feel safe, respected and protected from harm. Safeguarding is a priority at our setting, and we work to provide a safe and supportive environment for all. Our safeguarding policies and procedures follow statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), and are reviewed regularly. All staff receive appropriate safeguarding training and understand their responsibility to promote welfare and report any concerns promptly.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. All staff, volunteers, and visitors are expected to share this commitment and to act in the best interests of those in our care at all times.

“Pupils say that they feel safe at school. They are confident to tell an adult if they have a problem, and they trust that they will be listened to and supported.” – Ofsted 2025

What Is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding means protecting people from abuse, neglect, harm, and exploitation. This includes:

  • Physical abuse
  • Emotional or psychological abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Neglect
  • Domestic abuse
  • Online safety concerns
  • Radicalisation or exploitation

We follow safer working practices and ensure all concerns are taken seriously and responded to promptly.
